FAQ

“Quality healthcare is crucial to our nation’s welfare and it is important to have organizations that are willing to measure themselves against national standards and undergo rigorous evaluation by an independent accrediting body.”
URAC’s Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation provides an external validation of excellence in Specialty Pharmacy Management and provides Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) oriented processes that improve operations and enhance compliance. It also helps to assist in preparing for regulatory compliance.

Retail, chain and other fulfillment pharmacies may benefit from URAC’s Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation program due to its focus on quality standards and educational support.
